Guest Jokers Unlocked and One More Surprise

Well, that didn't take too long!  We just hit $48K, unlocking two more bonus jokers by special guest artists Carter Johnson and Steve Hamaker. You know, that Hamaker guy has an Eisner so how cool is that? And that makes a total of TEN jokers. That is also pretty cool.

So how about we keep the cool train chugging along?  Scott and I just talked and in addition to the last stretch goal at $51K which unlocks a challenge coin, we are going to add one more goal.  This one isn't a dollar goal however--instead we are setting a backer count goal.

If we get to 1000 backers (only 58 more backers as I type this), we are going to drop some new digital goodies for every single backer.  Right now, every reward level includes an avatar of the 1st joker in our set.  At 1000 backers, ever backer will ALSO get:

• An avatar version of all 9 of our stretch goal jokers
• An avatar version of all 4 chip designs
• A wallpaper of the art for the pint glass.  We haven't shown the pint glass art but will tell you now that it will be a full wrap around design so the wallpaper is gonna be a screen filler

The backer goal and the final stretch goal are independent of each other--if we hit one, that reward unlocks. We don't have to hit one to get to the other like past goals. Anything goes!

Home stretch time, everyone!  Only 24 hours to go in the Kickstarter campaign.  Everything closes tomorrow, May 16 at 5:33 Eastern time!

We have two final stretch goals we can hit before then.  

• At $48K we will unlock two more jokers created by guest artists Carter Johnson and Steve Hamaker.
• At $51K we will unlock a challenge coin designed by Scott that will go to all backers who are supporting at any level that includes at least one deck.

I think there is a good chance we can hit these last two goals.  We're already less than $1,000 away from the guest jokers.  So if you've been on the fence about pledging or picking up some add ons, this is the time to jump in.  Remember that any funds you add during the campaign to pick up some add ons when the surveys come out will count towards hitting the stretch levels.  You can see all the details about add ons on the campaign page. 

Also wanted to mention there is still one Ace of Spades and three Ace of Clubs levels  available.  These levels include custom face cards by Scott that you select for one suit in a deck   I point it out because a) after some thought, we will let backers select the suit they want for their custom face cards instead of limiting it to the choice in the reward description and b) the custom face cards are the only item that will NOT be available as an add on when the campaign closes so if you want to get them, you need to pledge one of the levels that include them now. Those levels that are still available are Ace of Spades, Ace of Clubs and Ace of Frogs. Don't want anyone waiting to pick it up as an add on to get surprised and miss out.

Sticker Pack Unlocked, New Level and More Art

Well, you've done it again folks--the Sticker Pack stretch goal is unlocked!  Next stop is $48,000 to unlock the Guest Jokers by Carter Johnson and Steve Hamaker.  Fingers crossed!

Wanted to let you know about a new reward level we added this weekend.  If you want to get one copy of the Custom Deck (Blue) and of each of the 6 unlocked  decks ncluding Zombie Deck, Frogpants Concentration, Carter Deck, Art Deck, Custom Deck (Red) and Go Fish Deck then the new Seven of Pants level is for you.  One click convenience to get all the decks.  Decks are still available as single or bundle add ons so you can customize exactly what you want but this is your best option for a one of each selection.

And as long as we're sending an update, how about some additional previews?  Three of our four poker chip designs--fourth coming soon.

Final Stretch Goals and More Preview Art

Not much time left--our campaign wraps up Wednesday May 16 at 5:30 Eastern! Thank you to everyone for the awesome support so far.  To kick off these remaining days, I wanted to announce a few final stretch goals

$45,000 UNLOCK STICKER PACK

At $45,000, we will unlock a pack featuring 8 stickers with art from the Kickstarter.  You'll get round stickers of the chip art, rectangular stickers of assorted jokers and some of the card backs.  All reward levels that include a deck of cards will receive a sticker pack and additional sticker packs will be available as an add on.

$48,000 UNLOCK BONUS GUEST JOKERS

At $48,000, we will unlock two new jokers which will be added to all reward levels that include a physical joker--and these two will be by guest artists!  One by Carter Johnson, joining her already unlocked guest deck,  And one by Steve Hamaker, creator of the online graphic novel, PLOX. Eisner Award winning colorist of comics including BONE, RASL and Table Titans.  MORE JOKERY GOODNESS!

$51,000 UNLOCK CHALLENGE COIN

At $51,000, we will unlock a challenge coin which will be added to all reward levels that include a deck.  The coin will commemorate the Kickstarter and will feature an all new design by Scott!

And how about some more preview art before we wrap up this update?

This is the first of four poker chips that will be available.  Each of the four will be a different color and feature a different custom design of a suit by Scott.  You will be able to pick one of these for the stretch goal chip added to each level that includes a deck.  All reward levels and add-on items that include chips will also get a choice of designs and colors to pick from too.
